About Dr. John Rawa

For four decades, I suffered from what is called sleep disordered breathing. With age, my snoring turned into obstructed sleep apnea and I showed all the signs and symptoms of OSA. In 2015, after being diagnosed with OSA, I started oral appliance therapy to treat my OSA. This therapy was life changing for me, and that is when I decided to dedicate my career to treat patients with sleeping disordered breathing.

I started by becoming a diplomate for the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. After having perfected treating adult patients with OAT, I progressed to treat children who suffered from sleep disordered breathing. We started screening young patients for breathing issues. We observed the ones who were mouth breathers and now offer multiple airway programs. These are oral appliance habit correctors that help to encourage nasal breathing, proper swallowing, and help to guide the growing dentition into proper alignment.
